This is a permanent, full-time opportunity suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers looking to develop their careers within a strong Science faculty.
The Role – Science Teacher (Physics)
You will join an established and collaborative Science department, delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a clear Physics focus at GCSE level.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, challenging Science lessons with a strong emphasis on Physics
* Developing pupils’ analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific enquiry
* Supporting practical investigations and hands-on experimentation
* Using assessment data effectively to raise attainment and close progress gaps
* Contributing to enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, competitions, and external partnerships
This role offers the opportunity to influence curriculum development and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has a degree in Physics or a related Science discipline
* Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
* Maintains high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement
* Is reflective, collaborative, and committed to professional growth
* ECTs with strong potential and experienced teachers seeking progression are both encouraged to apply
