Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Pathway Coordinator Support within the Regional Cataract Service, delivering change across Aneurin Bevan, Cardiff and Vale, and Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Boards.
We seek an organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong team leadership skills. The post holder will contribute to the transformation plans for Ophthalmology in South East Wales.
Welsh language skills are desirable; applicants who speak Welsh and/or English are equally encouraged to apply.
This role is fixed-term until 31st March 2026 due to funding.
Main duties of the job
* Providing telephone support for patient services, handling calls for the Regional Ophthalmology service for outpatient and inpatient queries.
* Offering clerical support to the scheduling team, ensuring appointments are booked correctly and documentation is maintained in line with service standards.
* Answering calls courteously, maintaining professionalism, and providing reception cover for the Regional Ophthalmology service.
* Acting as a central link between booking and scheduling teams across the region, requiring strong communication skills.
