We are seeking an experienced RF test engineer to join our growing team.
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all test equipment and processes within the company
* Full responsibility for the development/improvement of new/existing solutions to support manufacturing and engineering teams with all aspects of DC to mmWave test
* Provide high-level technical support to improve and maintain test capability and analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical issues as required
* Deliver fully verified and documented solutions in line with defined technical, schedule, and cost constraints
* Plan, organise, and manage own time to meet project requirements, and report project progress and risks to project teams and team leaders
* Interface effectively with vendors and internal and external customers to fulfil project requirements
* Contribute to bids during quotation phase including technical correspondence with customers
* Perform data analysis and produce both internal and customer-facing reports and presentations
* Involvement with the complete solution lifecycle, including requirements review, system design, specifications, instrumentation selection, solution development, implementation, data recording and reporting, testing, training, support, instructions, and change management
Qualifications
* Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent plus sufficient level of experience (:5 years)
* Hands-on experience within a volume electronics manufacturing environment
* Strong hands-on measurement and diagnostic skills using electronic and RF test equipment
* LabVIEW and TestStand development experience
* Experience with test databases and SQL queries beneficial
* Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Creative and self-motivated with a customer service ethic
* Ability to multitask and context switch effectively between activities
* Flexible team player
* UK Security clearance is required for this position
