Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting various specimens for the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of medical conditions.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in clinical laboratory science or biological, chemical, or physical science from an accredited institution, and completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U.S. Department of Education or accredited by NAACLS, or equivalent.
* Completion of a nationally recognized certification examination for medical laboratory scientist, such as that offered by ASCP, or equivalent, within 6 months of employment.
OR
* Associates Degree in clinical laboratory science or biological, chemical, or physical science from an accredited institution, and completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U.S. Department of Education or accredited by NAACLS, or equivalent.
* Completion of a nationally recognized certification examination for medical laboratory technician, such as that offered by ASCP, or equivalent, within 6 months of employment.
