Requirements include:
* GDC registration
* Chairside experience and ideally the NEBDN National Certificate for Dental Nurses, NVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 2 & 3, Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent
* Registration with the General Dental Council and personal indemnity cover
* NHS experience is desirable
* Eligibility to work in the UK
The Role
* Confidently operate machines and record data accurately
* Work face-to-face with patients from diverse backgrounds
* Support clinicians across various clinical treatments in different settings such as clinics, patients’ homes, residential and nursing homes, hospices, and hospitals
* Anticipate clinician needs and support patients during dental procedures
* Respond to individual patient needs and provide pre- and post-operative instructions, maintaining privacy and dignity
* Prepare the dental surgery and temporary clinical environments outside of clinical areas, ensuring PPE usage as per Trust Infection Prevention guidelines
* Ensure instruments, equipment, x-rays, records, and electronic data are ready for clinicians prior to treatment
* Provide clinical support for inhalation and intravenous sedation clinics; additional training will be provided if necessary
