As an Apprentice Library Assistant, you will support the delivery of library and information services to ensure a high-quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources and encourage use by a wide range of customers.
Apprentices will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the library service and receive appropriate training and support to assist in the provision of an efficient and effective library service. You will work towards gaining the work- based Library, Information and Archive Assistant apprenticeship – level 3 qualification in a timely manner.

We have 7 apprenticeships available across the city, the role requires working Saturdays and some evening work. Sometimes you will need to work at other locations to widen your work-based experience or when the Service requires
The hours are 37 per week on a rota system.
