FSI Specialist, Banking, AWS Industry Business Development
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon, and the leader in providing secure, reliable, scalable, and innovative cloud services that help more than a million businesses across the globe grow. We are expanding in several areas, and our Financial Services team is looking for a seasoned Banking leader with experience in business development/sales, driving top-line growth, and overall end-customer adoption across the Banking industry.
The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in business development and sales, along with Banking industry technology experience, enabling them to engage directly with Banking customers, coach sales teams, and lead tactical and strategic initiatives to deliver innovative solutions to the Banking industry. They should have demonstrated experience in designing and deploying technology solutions supporting various areas within Banking technology. Key domain expertise includes:
* Knowledge of critical systems needed to support the Banking industry across the value chain
* Understanding of workflows supporting various Banking business functions
* Understanding of the business, technical, and operational needs of Banking customers
* Relationships with key system integrators and independent solutions vendors in Banking, including ISV solutions and SI-led service offerings
Key job responsibilities:
* Position AWS as a strategic and trusted partner to Indian Banking customers
* Coach account teams and define strategic directions for top accounts, focusing on business solutions and sponsors
* Lead pre-sales activities for Banking accounts, support lead-generation and sales acceleration, and influence global and multi-national customer activities
* Identify and define requirements for new services or packaged offerings in collaboration with internal teams and partners
* Conduct executive workshops with industry leaders and executives
* Participate in industry conferences, briefings, and public speaking to position AWS in Banking
* Collaborate with AWS technical experts to develop and deliver solutions
* Support AWS Partner Network and industry technology providers with their solutions on AWS
* Utilize Salesforce and internal systems for campaign tracking and pipeline management
* Present business reviews to senior management on progress and challenges
* Travel up to 50% as required
Minimum requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in enterprise solutions sales, business development, or services delivery
* 5+ years of customer interaction experience, including presentations, relationship building, and technical pre-sales
* Understanding of Banking workflows, value chains, and related technologies
* Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in Banking
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Strong communication skills and executive presence
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Additional preferred qualifications include:
* 9+ years in business development, partnership management, or sourcing
* MBA degree
* Experience in large-scale transformation consulting or professional services
* Cloud sales or solutions experience
* Knowledge of top ISVs and SIs in Banking and their offerings
