Data Manager (Arbor) — £90–£110 per day | Full-time, Permanent ABC Teachers is recruiting an experienced Data Manager (Arbor) to join a forward-thinking school in the Birmingham area. This is a full-time, permanent post paying £90–£110 per day depending on experience. The role As the school’s Data Manager you will be the go-to expert for Management Information Systems (Arbor), ensuring pupil and school data is accurate, secure and accessible for leaders and teachers. Your core responsibilities will include: Managing and maintaining the Arbor MIS: pupil records, cohorts, admissions, leavers, and staff records. Ensuring data integrity and undertaking regular audits and reconciliations. Producing management information and statutory reports (attendance, attainment, census returns etc.). Creating bespoke Arbor reports and dashboards for SLT, governors and teachers. Supporting assessment data uploads, analysis and tracking pupil progress. Providing training and guidance to staff on Arbor and good data practice. Ensuring GDPR/compliance and safeguarding processes are applied to data handling. About you (required) Proven hands-on experience working with Arbor MIS (essential). Experience as a Data Manager / MIS Officer / School Administrator with responsibility for school data. Strong analytical skills and confident use of Excel (pivot tables, lookups) — ability to turn raw data into clear reports. Excellent attention to detail, organised and able to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills — able to explain data to non-technical colleagues. Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Desirable Experience with statutory returns (census, performance data). Basic SQL or experience with data queries. Prior experience working within a UK school or MAT.
