Position Overview:
As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in driving building projects to success.
Your expertise will ensure that every aspect of surveying, design, project coordination, and contract administration is executed flawlessly. You'll ensure compliance with regulations and that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Inspections and Surveys:
- Conduct thorough assessments of various building types, identifying defects and maintenance needs.
- Prepare detailed condition reports with actionable recommendations.
Compliance and Regulatory Advice:
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
- Provide guidance on planning permissions and modifications.
Surveying and Site Assessment:
- Perform detailed site surveys and ongoing inspections to ensure adherence to plans.
- Review building plans for accuracy and compliance.
Design and Feasibility:
- Lead the design of modifications and new builds, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Prepare feasibility reports with cost-effective design solutions.
Project Coordination and Management:
- Collaborate with contractors and engineers to keep projects on track.
- Manage timelines and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
Contract Administration:
- Assist in preparing tender documents and oversee the procurement process.
- Monitor contractor performance to meet contractual obligations.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets industry standards.
- Provide technical advice on materials and construction methods.
Cost and Budget Management:
- Help prepare project budgets and monitor costs, ensuring financial health throughout.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Communication and Reporting:
