The Role
Our infrastructure supports the systems that secure the UK. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will ensure compliance with technical standards. You will oversee our estate, which may involve reviewing building designs, analyzing infrastructure issues, or other related tasks, relying on your knowledge of M&E building systems.
You may also take on line management responsibilities for a small team, providing leadership and support. The role may require extended hours, compensated by overtime, and occasional travel within the UK and overseas.
About You
You should have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems, such as HVAC and HV/LV distribution systems. Relevant qualifications like AP electrical or mechanical certifications are desirable, but training will be provided to reach the required level. Practical experience in maintaining, installing, and assuring M&E systems is essential. Leadership experience is a plus, and a full UK driving license is required.
