Job Introduction
We have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join our team to be the main liaison between guests and key stakeholders when organising end-to-end onsite tours of Glenfiddich and Balvenie.
Main Responsibility
Ensuring end-to-end visit/tour programmes and plans are executed successfully and in line with both the customer specifications and budget.
On the ground guest welcome and interaction ensuring they are delivered in line with our Luxury standards.
Perform reception duties including: welcoming guests; handling phone, email and in-person booking enquiries; processing bookings on arrival; cash handling, card payments and operation of the till, and advising guests of onsite facilities.
Assist retail operations at Balvenie Visitor Centre to successfully advise customers and drive sales; deliver point of sale operations, be competent in cash and credit card handling systems and banking procedures; monitor stock levels and advise on re-stocking and organising postage and packing where applicable.
Ensure strict adherence to proper EPOS procedures to ensure accurate recording of tour and End of Day procedures.
Work closely with the wider Visitor Centre team to deliver the ‘Standfast Experience’, HNW and family and trade visits in Dufftown.
Assist in the development and execution of tour and guide policies and procedures for bookings and payments.
Support the VIP & Distilleries Team Leader and team as and when required; attend and contribute to all relevant meetings i.e. planning, health & safety and finance etc.
Ensuring that the tour reception, shop and tasting area is clean and well maintained creating a luxury welcome to all our internal and external guests.

Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Good computer skills and Excel knowledge preferrable.
