Sales Manager\n Location: Cardiff (Hybrid Working)\n Salary £40,000 basic | OTE up to £50,000\n Contract: Permanent, full time\n\nYolk Recruitment is supporting a growing and ambitious business in Cardiff with the search for an experienced and driven Sales Manager.\n\nThis is a hands-on leadership role within a high-performing sales function, managing a team focused on generating and qualifying warm leads for specialist insurance advisors.\n\nYou'll lead from the front in a fast-paced, data-driven environment-coaching in real time, identifying development opportunities, and holding your team accountable to high standards. If you thrive in a sales environment, love getting stuck into performance data, and enjoy developing people to hit and exceed targets, this could be a great next step.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nLeading, coaching and motivating the lead generation team to drive high-volume, quality referrals\nMonitoring real-time performance data to identify trends and coach accordingly\nBuilding strong working relationships with sales agents to support conversion goals\nCoaching through live call listening-developing tone, objection handling, call structure and pace\nDelivering structured 1:1 coaching sessions, performance reviews and team huddles\nManaging team campaigns and directing focus to the most impactful activity\nAnalysing call-to-connect, connect-to-hand-off, and conversion rates to target coaching\nSupporting Team Leads and Assistant Managers with their leadership development\nCreating a positive, collaborative team culture both in-office and remotely\nMaintaining performance standards across hybrid teams via MS Teams and internal systemsWhat You'll Bring\n\nEssential experience:\n\nAt least 2 years in a fast-paced telesales or contact centre environment\nA minimum of 2 years in a sales or performance management role\nStrong track record of coaching and improving performance through real-time feedback\nHighly confident using live data and KPIs to identify trends and drive change\nProven experience managing multiple campaigns and setting strategic direction\nResilient and proactive, able to hold teams accountable while supporting their development\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to lead both office-based and remote staff\nStrong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities\nMotivated, professional and passionate about hitting targets and developing talentDesirable:\n\nExperience in an FCA-regulated environment\nWorking towards CII or IFS qualifications\nFamiliarity with managing conversion rates and campaign-specific KPIs\nA strong commitment to personal development and team cultureWhat You'll Get in Return\n\nBasic salary up to £40,000\nOTE of up to £50,000\n34 days holiday (including bank holidays)\nFull private health insurance (Bupa)\nIncome Protection cover\nPension plan\nExtra day off on your birthday\nEnhanced maternity and paternity leave\nHybrid working with flexible hours\nCareer development and progression opportunities\nA fun, supportive, and ambitious team environment
