Site Surveyor
North West – Ideally Greater Manchester / Lancashire / Merseyside / Cheshire / North Wales based
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Surveyor to join our WPS Planned Works team in the North West to work on a current SHF Wave 3 Retrofit Scheme in Halton (near Runcorn). You will play a key role in commercially managing works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to WPS' high‑quality standards. The role offers hybrid working; working from site, from home and from our regional office in Oldham.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing planned works across social housing contracts focusing on cost control
* Producing and submitting monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and progress reports
* Procurement, managing subcontractors, producing external valuations and cash flows
* Working closely with Commercial Managers on budgets, profit plans and final accounts
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards and Wates processes
* Attending monthly client progress meetings (both in person and on-line)
* Building strong relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams
* Supporting continuous improvement and high standards of customer satisfaction
About You
* BSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
* Housing Association / Social Housing experience including SHF retrofitting works highly desirable
* Strong commercial and financial understanding (cost control, valuations, cash flow)
* Experience of managing projects and subcontractors on site
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills and well versed in the use of Microsoft Excel
* Full UK driving licence
