Summary
Working closely with the Engineering Team Leader, the Graduate Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for providing daily technical assistance to our customers, solving various technical issues, and supporting maintenance activities during planning and execution phases.
The Customer Support Engineering team supports the operation and maintenance of OEM Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Generators, Control Systems, and Auxiliary Systems at our Customer's sites. The team ensures the reliability, availability, and safety of their operating assets through daily engagement and support during scheduled or forced outages. Additionally, our Customer Support Engineers assist our Programme Management, Commercial, and Tendering Teams in business development and expansion efforts.
Role Responsibilities
As a Graduate Customer Support Engineer on the Steam Turbine Customer Support Team, your responsibilities will include:
* Communicating effectively with all levels of employees.
* Maintaining honesty and integrity at all times.
* Learning the operational aspects of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators within a multidisciplinary team.
* Representing the company during planned inspections of Gas/Steam Turbines.
* Resolving customer problems, both external and internal, as assigned by the Engineering department.
* Revising Quality Management procedures as needed.
* Participating in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
* Responding quickly to customer needs with a customer-focused mindset.
* Working off hours and weekends to support emergency issues.
* Traveling approximately 50% of the time to customer sites when required.
* Working autonomously, developing solutions, and delivering under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Implementing the quality policy of MHPS-EU.
* Adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
* Protecting confidential information from disclosure or misuse.
About you
To be considered for this position, you should:
* Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with exposure to Gas Turbine design, operation, repair, service, installation, or commissioning.
* Have experience in developing and writing specifications and proposals.
* Possess effective customer service and organizational skills.
* Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Be proficient in technical report writing and communication.
* Be capable of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.
* Have good knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and simulation software.
