We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated and pro-active individuals to join our Finished Goods Production Department as Production Line Leaders at our West Yorkshire site in Knottingley. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the main purpose of this role will be to form an effective communication and information link between our glass forming and finished goods Production Departments; whilst ensuring ware meets customer and quality standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - - To undertake hourly checks of ware and to take immediate action in regard to any glass forming faults found. - To take action in regard to gauging faults identified by the Glass Forming Operator. - To relay information promptly to the Glass Forming Operator on glass faults found, to enable corrective action to be taken and maximise production efficiencies. - To record findings of hourly checks using the recognised documents and procedures. - To continuously monitor and record the performance of the finished goods lines and check the effectiveness of on-line inspection equipment. Ideally, candidates possess a comprehensive and sound understanding of bottle production faults, however, full training will be provided for the right candidate. The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels is also necessary for this role, together with the capacity to drive and motivate those around you. Ideal candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work effectively and safely in this fast paced and sometimes pressured environment. We offer a fully structured and well-established training plan which is designed to allow individuals to learn and develop at their individual pace. Training will start on days, following which it will continue on shift, benefiting from one-to-one training with an allocated Training Operative. The role will suite individuals who have previously worked within a 24-hour manufacturing environment, however, candidates from any backgrounds will be considered. This is a shift position, working a 5-crew shift pattern, working 12 hours, both days and nights.
