Our success comes from our people – they make the difference. We’re all about personality, we have fun, and we work hard to deliver That Superdrug feeling.

Here's the exciting bit…a day includes:

Role Purpose:

To support the Site Health and Safety Manager by conducting audits, inspections and supporting training delivery, leading a team of MHE trainers within the DC and ensuring that all processes within that function are carried out to the specified standards required, in a safe manner, ensuring operational efficiencies are identified and maximised.

A typical day in this role includes:

* Support the Distribution Health & Safety Manager in the completion of site audits, inspections, incident investigations and contractor control, etc.
* Maintains a record each for in-house accidents, both settled and contended claims, and best practices for the organisation to ensure its practices are healthy and safe.
* Ensuring Training T-Cards/ BOA’s and any other documentation is relevant and fit for purpose.
* Review training capacity to ensure it meets operational requirements. Plan team resource accordingly. This is to include a documented handover process to the receiving department to support the transition of trained team members. And give formal feedback to be reviewed and follow up actions if required.
* Active involvement in monitoring all aspects of MHE use, providing feedback to senior management, H&S and supporting departments where required.
* Review training content and update as required, ensuring all training is in line with RTITB / IITSAR recommendations and deliver training to these standards.
* Ensure consistency on MHE processes in line with other AS Watson sites.
* Monitors compliance with the use of quality materials for various work schedules.
* Plans with the health and safety manager to train or retrain junior members of management to ensure that the team is highly skilled.

All leadership capabilities are required to some extent in all roles but there will always be one or two that are critical for success. Identifying this is an important part of building a JD. One way to do this is consider how you would allocate 11 ‘points’ if:

Critical was 3, Core 2, and Useful 1.

All capabilities must have at least 1 point.

This job is a good fit for you if:

* You enjoy working with people and are able to engage and motivate them.
* You have good communication skills, and an in-depth knowledge of how the FLT department works.
* You have the patience and presence required to help inexperienced operators become good and safe drivers.
* You are self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
* You are honest, reliable, and dedicated to your role.
* You have a strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail.
* You have a good attitude and aptitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
* Organised and able to effectively plan training schedules and delivery material.

What you’ll need:

* Experience managing a small team.
* MHE experience desirable (forklift trucks, LLOPs, PPT and Counterbalance)
* A background experience in fast-moving industries.
* Experience with working in a previous H&S role. (NEBOSH Qualification desirable but not essential)

Here's what's in it for you:

* 33 days holiday rising to 38 days with length of service. (inclusive of bank holidays)
* 2 staff discount codes for yourself and a family member or friend.
