Business Development Manager - EU & UK

(The ideal candidate will be located in the UK or Europe)


Leading innovation partner for pharmaceutical companies, specialising in the development of scalable, sustainable processes for the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Their expertise spans from early-phase process design to late-phase commercialization, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, efficiency, and quality. Collaborating closely with clients to address complex chemical challenges, optimize manufacturing processes, and advance the development of life-saving medicines.


Responsibilities

* Proactively identify, engage, and convert new accounts in Europe/UK biotech and pharma sectors.
* Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of opportunities, with focus on complex synthetics and new modalities
* Drive outreach and engagement campaigns, leveraging the companies commercial playbooks, prospection plans, and value laddering approach.
* Represent at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings across Europe.
* Lead first interactions with new accounts, qualifying opportunities and coordinating with internal SMEs.
* Deliver proposals and presentations with a consultative, solution oriented approach.
* Work with the Marketing team to deploy capability packs, case studies, and campaign tools.
* Maintain disciplined CRM pipeline management, ensuring all interactions and opportunities are captured and reported.


Requirements

* 5+ years in business development, sales, or partnering in the biotech/pharma/CDMO space.
* Hunter mindset - thrives on opening new doors, creating opportunities, and securing new wins.
* Networked - able to leverage existing relationships while building new ones with a strong professional network across European biotech and pharma
* Consultative - capable of engaging scientists and procurement leaders on technical and strategic levels.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to translate complex technical services into clear value propositions for clients.
* Highly self-driven, target-oriented, and resilient.
