Main purpose of the job:
Support the Operations function in undertaking processes and procedures that contribute toward the achievement of Operational objectives.
Provide technical and operational support to Syndicate & MGA trading platforms as part of the Operations function through the provision & analysis of underwriting control management information. This will include provision of reports to Underwriting stakeholders, committees & Board as required.
Contribute to the continued enhancement of policy data quality for all Syndicate Underwriting Teams by identifying areas for improvement through analysis of relevant MI and collaboration with key stakeholders.
Key tasks:
* Work with the Syndicate Underwriting Teams and other stakeholders to monitor data quality and identify and implement data quality improvements.
* Support Finance and the underwriting teams in undertaking tasks that assist with the monthly close process.
* Provide regular MI reporting to key stakeholders that facilitate accurate outstanding premium monitoring.
* Assist with the production of regulatory returns, such as Lloyd’s PMD.
* Monitor and action Lloyd’s Insurance Company (LIC) bureau queries on behalf of underwriting teams.
* Contribute to the clearance of underwriting Data Validations.
* Prepare and maintain relevant operational procedures & reports
* Participation in project work as required.

Key technical skills, knowledge, and professional qualifications required:
* Proven experience in the Lloyd’s market
* An understanding of Syndicate underwriting models and reporting.
* Progressing towards professional insurance qualification, e.g. CII preferable
* Good working knowledge of Policy Administration, E placement & Lloyd’s systems
