We're recruiting for a Project Manager to join us at Octavius. We are delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK. This role focuses on managing and delivering a portfolio of Access for All (AfA) projects in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and parts of the South East. These schemes typically include new step‑free access routes, footbridges, lifts, and associated station upgrades....helping us create safer, more inclusive journeys for passengers.
You'll be working on:

* Leading the successful delivery of AfA projects from early development through to completion, in line with the Line of Sight.
* Taking overall accountability for delivering each project safely, sustainably, and to the highest quality.
* Ensuring financial performance targets, programme milestones, and customer expectations are met.
* Managing multi‑disciplinary interfaces across civil engineering, structural works (including new footbridges over operational railways), M&E installations, lift systems, telecoms upgrades (such as CIS and PA), and platform modifications.
* Driving a collaborative culture within the project team and supply chain to maintain our core values and shared vision of safe, reliable delivery.

A highly skilled team of engineers, designers, planners, commercial professionals, and supply chain partners working across the portfolio. You'll also work closely with Network Rail, station teams, local authorities, and specialist contractors in civils, structures, M&E, and rail telecoms.

About you:
(what you are skilled at)
* Has worked across a broad range of rail infrastructure disciplines, ideally including civil engineering, structural works, M&E (especially lift installations), and station telecoms systems.
* Experienced in managing rail projects within operational environments.
* Can demonstrate personal responsibility for delivering projects or major work packages up to approx. £10 million.
* Strong understanding of safety standards, operational railway constraints, and multi‑disciplinary coordination.
* SMSTS competent.
* Holds PTS and any other relevant rail certifications.
* Competent level of IT literacy.
* Knowledge of contract management (NEC, ICE, etc.) and project programming.
You'll bring:

* An industry‑recognised qualification such as a Degree, HND, NVQ or similar in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related subject.
* OR significant relevant experience gained through practical delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
