About the School and Role
Westfield is a large 2 form entry primary school in the village of Wombourne on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Catering Coordinator to join our friendly team. The role supports the day to day provision of an efficient catering service that meets the needs of the school and Government Guidelines on school food standards. The successful applicant will work closely with the Catering Manager with the provision of nutritionally balanced school meals taking into account national initiatives and best practice.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the day to day provision of the school catering service to meet the school’s standards and government guidelines on school food standards.
* Work closely with the Catering Manager to provide nutritionally balanced school meals, considering national initiatives and best practice.
* Support the catering team in delivering a high-quality service to pupils and staff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Applicants should hold a recognised national qualification in catering and/or have experience within a large-scale catering organisation.
* The ability to relate well to children is essential.
Working Hours
The working hours are 24.5 per week – during term time plus 6 training days (9.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 2.00pm on Friday).
