We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Urgent Care Practitioner to join our Mental Health Liaison Team based at The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. This is a fast‑paced, clinically varied role where no two days are the same – working at the interface of physical and mental health to deliver timely, compassionate care.

Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week (days and nights)

What you’ll do
You’ll provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and risk formulations for adults presenting with acute mental health needs. Working closely with general hospital colleagues, you’ll deliver high‑quality, recovery‑focused interventions and ensure patients receive the right support at the right time. You’ll also offer advice and support to medical and nursing teams within the hospital, helping to promote understanding and confidence around mental health care.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a registered mental health nurse (RMN) or equivalent practitioner with strong assessment skills, clinical confidence and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication, resilience and professional curiosity are key, along with the flexibility to work shifts across a 24/7 service.
