We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Freelance Assistant Site Manager to support day-to-day operations on a major residential development in Deptford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading main contractor on a fast-paced, multi-unit build comprising apartment blocks and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Site Manager and Project Manager in overseeing all on-site activities.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring high standards of work and compliance with design specifications.
*
Support the implementation of health & safety procedures and ensure all operatives adhere to site regulations.
*
Conduct daily site inspections and maintain accurate site diaries and reports.
*
Monitor progress against programme and report delays or issues promptly.
*
Ensure site logistics are well managed, including deliveries, access control, and material distribution.
*
Assist with quality control, snagging, and final handover processes.
*
Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and the client-side team as required.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager on large residential schemes (RC frame experience advantageous).
*
Valid CSCS card (Black or Gold preferred).
*
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
*
First Aid at Work qualification.
*
Strong understanding of construction processes and site coordination.
*
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret build specifications.
*
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
*
Available for freelance work and able to commute to Deptford daily
