Booking In Operative (Pharmacy / Warehouse Experience Required)

Hours: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Contract: Ongoing
Pay: £12.21 per hour
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and detail-focused Booking In Operative to join our client’s warehouse team in Aldridge. This role requires previous experience working in a pharmacy, dispensary, pharmaceutical warehouse, or a similar environment, along with strong stock control skills. You will play a key role in ensuring all incoming and outgoing products are handled safely, accurately, and in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Management
*
Book in wholesale and WDA deliveries accurately
*
Process wholesale, pharmacy, and WDA orders
*
Check batch numbers and expiry dates against delivery and order documentation
*
Use internal systems to update stock levels, process orders, and record stock movements
*
Liaise with internal teams to resolve delivery or order-related queries
Stock & Quality Control
*
Identify damaged, expired, or defective products and isolate appropriately
*
Report discrepancies or stock issues to Management promptly
*
Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring all required details are recorded
*
Pack pharmacy orders in line with company procedures to maintain product integrity
*
Handle temperature-sensitive or controlled products where applicable
*
Perform stock takes, cycle counts, and other inventory checks
*
Complete warehouse and quality-related admin tasks as needed
Health, Safety & Compliance
*
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work environment, including participating in scheduled deep cleans
*
Follow all job-specific procedures, company policies, and Health & Safety guidelines
*
Assist in investigations relating to errors, deviations, or quality concerns
*
Adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, including those from the MHRA

Support with training and onboarding of new staff by demonstrating correct procedures

Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs

Attend all required training sessions

Person Specification
*
Essential: Experience in a pharmacy, dispensary, or pharmaceutical warehouse
*
Strong background in order processing, booking-in, and stock control
*
Confident using computer systems and internal stock software
*
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
*
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
*
Physically able to undertake manual handling tasks (lifting, bending, moving stock)
