Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in History and Sociology across KS3–KS5. Develop resources and schemes of work that support a broad and balanced humanities curriculum. Assess and monitor student progress through regular feedback and reporting. Encourage critical analysis, debate, and independent thinking in lessons. Maintain a positive classroom environment with clear expectations and consistent routines. Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and wider school initiatives. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification. Experience teaching History and Sociology to KS4 (KS5 desirable). Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum requirements. Effective classroom management and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
