Newly Qualified Crime Solicitor – London - REF: 885040AL
We are working on behalf of a leading London-based law firm to recruit a Newly Qualified Solicitor for their expanding Criminal Defence team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in a supportive and dynamic environment, working on high-profile cases and gaining hands-on advocacy experience.
You will be involved in:
* Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including serious and complex crime
* Attending police stations and representing clients during interviews (Police Station Accreditation preferred)
* Conducting advocacy in Magistrates’ Court (training and support provided)
* Preparing clear, accurate legal advice and documentation
* Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties to progress cases efficiently
* Supporting senior lawyers and contributing to team objectives
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
* SRA qualified solicitor with a strong interest in Criminal Law
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
* IT proficiency and strong organisational skills
* A proactive, team-focused approach
Desirable:
* Police Station Accreditation
* Duty Solicitor status or willingness to work towards it
