Job Title: Farm Administrator
Role Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Frome, Somerset
On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are recruiting a Farm Administrator on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a well-established company in the agricultural industry, dedicated to sustainable farming and promoting high animal welfare standards. This role will work mainly in the Farm Office, and the Collection Centre once per week. A farming background, or knowledge of the agricultural industry is essential for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collection Centre:
* Coordinate calf transport logistics and APHA licensing for TB movements
* Update BCMS and internal systems with calf movements
* Maintain accurate digital records using provided software
Farm Administration:
* Manage all BCMS tasks including on/off movements, death registrations, and passport selection
* Handle administration, filing, and secure storage of calf passports
APHA Licensing:
* Submit and manage TB movement license applications, including amendments and problem resolution
Stocklist & Records Management:
* Maintain internal stocklist with intake, off movements, and death records
* Ensure timely updates of cattle records: medicines, vaccinations, weights, and movements
* Schedule and prepare paperwork for vet appointments and routine health procedures
* Support compliance with key animal welfare procedures (e.g. vaccinations, TB testing, dehorning, castration)
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Previous experience in an Administration role.
* Knowledge or experience of APHA licencing & BCMS.
* Strong understanding of passports and how to resolve issues with queries relating to TB calves.
* Strong organizational and administrative skills.
