Purpose of the Role
This role ensures smooth and safe delivery of dental treatments at the Glasgow Clinic, supporting dentists and specialists while guaranteeing high standards of patient care, infection control, and efficiency in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Chairside assistance to dentists during treatments.
Strict compliance with cross-infection control and sterilisation protocols.
Efficient rotation across multiple surgeries in a large-scale dental hospital.
Accurate recordkeeping, use of dental software (Exact / Dentally).
Supporting onboarding and integration of patients in a warm and professional way.
Collaborating with the wider team of nurses, dentists, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Requirements: Competencies & Skills
Education
Qualified Dental Nurse.
Training in dental nursing, healthcare, or related fields is desirable.
Experience
Minimum 3-6 months of experience in dental nursing or a similar clinical support role.
Previous work in fast-paced clinical environments is an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with Exact dental software is desirable.
Knowledge of infection control standards and chairside support procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability and flexibility to work shifts between 9:00 - 19:00, Monday to Friday hours per week, with potential extra shifts).
