Finding the right person for this leadership role is crucial to us and therefore we are willing to consider a part time or full time role as a Senior teacher or Assistant Head. You will play a decisive role in implementing the curriculum and vision for the school and ensuring that all children reach their potential. Working in leadership at Ludwick extends beyond the classroom and you will have opportunities to lead training with us, to shape and influence the wider early years sector. We are a large (up to 200 children) maintained Nursery School in Welwyn Garden City, offering early education and care to children aged 2- 5 years old. We have extensive purpose built buildings and rich provision, set in lovely grounds, with plentiful access to outside learning. Alongside the school, we run a successful training centre, working as the lead Early Years Partner for Alban Teaching School Hub and as the Hertfordshire partner for the Reachout Stronger Practice Hub. At Ludwick, the children’s education and well-being is at the heart of everything that we do. Our school has earned a strong reputation over the years for providing children with the best possible start to their education with a particular focus on nurture and inclusion. Our curriculum is rooted in the pedagogy of play and first-hand experiences and influenced by Froebelian principles. We are passionate about children accessing outdoor learning and real life activities such as cookery, woodwork and exploring the local community.
