Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves heavy lifting, materials handling, and operating warehouse equipment, contributing to the overall productivity of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers.
* Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment.
* Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for.
* Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Skills
* Proven experience in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in materials handling techniques.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems, such as AS400, is advantageous.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment when necessary.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
* Experience in construction or related fields is a plus.
