Vacancy Description
* A central part of the job is learning and using 2D and 3D software; Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) packages such as Revit and AutoCAD to create technical drawings, models and designs
* Apply appropriate civil engineering principles, techniques, and methods, including mathematical, scientific, and technical know-how, to support the delivery of civil engineering projects
* Plan, carry out and manage your own work in line with quality assurance procedures
* Plan, undertake and review their own professional competence, regularly updating and reviewing their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to improve performance
* The role will include working closely with senior colleagues to develop and learn new skills
* Working on 3D BIM models and producing high quality models and drawings
* Working closely with members of the design team and engineers to help produce drawings, designs and BIM models
* Understanding, reading and producing CAD drawings
* Updating drawings and models based on comments from senior designers
* Assist in preparing the designs, specifications, etc, for projects
* Co-ordinating with the other disciplines like architects, surveyors, contractors, etc.
* Presenting design information in project meetings
* Aiding in the production of clear and well-presented presentations, reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation
* Assessing, testing and implementing innovative new software
* Maintaining records and registers of deliverables
* Operating in accordance with the Company's health, safety, environmental and quality standards

* Completion of this apprenticeship will award you with a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Civil Engineering (603/1217/8) as well as the opportunity to progress to higher level qualifications and apply for industry body membership
