Are you a Supply Chain Planner with a knack for optimising operations and ensuring seamless production? We’re looking for a proactive and analytical individual to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the flow of materials and finished goods through our manufacturing supply chain.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in achieving production targets and meeting customer demand while keeping waste and costs to a minimum. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a passion for efficiency, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
* Production & Materials Planning: Create detailed production plans and schedules that align with customer orders, capacity, and lead times. You’ll translate demand forecasts into material requirements and work closely with procurement to ensure timely ordering of raw materials. You’ll also monitor production progress, adjusting plans as needed for changes in demand, equipment issues, or material shortages.
* Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to keep production flowing smoothly. You’ll regularly analyse inventory to identify and address excess, obsolete, or slow-moving stock.
* Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to track orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials. You’ll proactively tackle any material delays, shortages, or quality issues that could impact production.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, engineering, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to align supply chain activities with our manufacturing goals. You’ll participate in daily production meetings, providing updates on material availability and schedule adherence.
* Systems & Reporting: Utilise ERP/MRP systems (like SAP) to manage planning activities and maintain accurate data. You’ll generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as plan adherence, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery.
* Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives aimed at boosting supply chain efficiency, reducing lead times, and enhancing responsiveness.
What You’ll Bring:
* 2-5 years of experience in supply chain or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
* APICS CPIM certification is preferred.
