THE EMPLOYER IS: MAGHERAFELT WOMENS GROUP LTDSupport staff in delivering creative, play-based learning experiences for children within the centre. This role is well-suited to a young person aged 18 or over with an interest in creativity, arts, or early years education, who is seeking practical experience in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist staff with planning and setting up creative activities such as arts and crafts, music, drama, storytelling, and sensory play.
* Help create engaging and stimulating learning displays and themed areas.
* Prepare materials such as paints, craft items, paper, and sensory resources.
* Support children during both structured activities and free play.
* Help clean, tidy, and maintain activity areas, following hygiene and safety procedures.
* Participate in group sessions including singing, stories, and games.
* Observe children’s participation and share feedback with senior staff.
* Assist with outdoor creative activities when required.
* Contribute ideas for new creative and educational experiences.
Skills and Qualifications
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow procedures.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding guidelines.
* Experience or interest in arts, crafts, design, music, or drama (including hobby or volunteer experience).
* Any informal or voluntary experience working with children.
* Genuine interest in creativity and working with young children.
* Positive, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude.
