Position: Sports Coach – PRU
Location – Manchester (M11)
Pay – £475 – £550 per week, depending on experience
Start Date – 19/01/2026
Are you a calm and resilient individual with a passion for sports? We are currently working with a primary pupil referral unit to recruit for experienced sports coaches.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, using passion for sports as a way to re-engage.
2. Co-ordinating fun and engaging activities for pupils
3. Collaborating with teachers and parents to monitor progress
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
4. Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
5. Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired
6. A passion for sports and delivering sports sessions
7. A calm and resilient nature
8. Excellent behaviour management strategies
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
9. Hold Right to Work in the UK
10. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
11. Provide two professional references
