Rotational Pharmacist
Closing date: 04 May 2026. This progression role is for Band 6 to Band 7.
Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dedicated pharmacists to join the team. We offer bespoke training for pharmacists transitioning from community pharmacy into hospital pharmacy, and the opportunity to study for a postgraduate clinical diploma at De Montfort University.
It is an exciting time to join this innovative department as we roll out a dedicated ward pharmacy service to medical wards, allowing pharmacists to use clinical skills to support patient care.
Kettering is well placed – only an hour from London, within easy reach of Cambridge, Leicester, and Peterborough, and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Main duties of the job
We provide rotations through medicine (cardiology, respiratory, care of the elderly, endocrine), urgent care (medical admission wards, ED and frailty unit), surgery, paediatrics, and acute admissions. Each rotation includes a ward‑based clinical commitment and a dedicated senior pharmacist for developmental support. You will also join our team of on‑call pharmacists, gaining experience providing out‑of‑hours service to the Trust.
