IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hour week)
Location: Southampton office based

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for managing technology efficiently using tools and scripting. Organizes, leads, and coordinates with other IT departments to ensure system components are effectively managed.
* Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or improve Garmin’s network and telecommunications systems
* Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations. Assesses feasibility and makes recommendations
* Continuously develops expertise on current and emerging network & telecommunications technologies
* Communicates effectively about system operations and changes
* Adheres to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory standards
* Monitors capacity, redundancy, and health of network & telecommunications systems
* Ensures security requirements are met or exceeded
* Follows standards and procedures proficiently
* Communicates clearly in writing and verbally within teams
* Aligns work with Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy, showing enthusiasm for company success
* Mentors less experienced IT Administrators
* Provides reliable solutions using sound problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis
* Performs minor version upgrades and uses scripting tools for efficiency
* Makes recommendations for improvements at component levels
* Identifies system interdependencies
* Coordinates non-project changes across teams
* Participates in system or application roadmap planning
* Leads meetings with IT system users
* Adapts well to change and welcomes feedback for improvement
* Maintains appropriate security access levels
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business, or related field, or 2 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination
* Ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently
* Experience in implementing technology solutions successfully
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Effective documentation and organizational skills
* Deep understanding of IT Infrastructure, including Telephony: Avaya, SIP, Microsoft Teams Voice
