About Us:
Minster Lovell Scout Group is a dynamic and community-focused youth organization, providing young people with the opportunity to learn valuable life skills through adventure, teamwork, and leadership. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Chair of Trustees to lead our Trustee Board and ensure the continued success of our group.
Role Overview:
As the Chair of Trustees, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing the group's operations, supporting our volunteers, and ensuring that we remain financially sustainable. This is a rewarding voluntary role with the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people in Minster Lovell and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the Trustee Board in setting the strategic direction of Minster Lovell Scout Group.
* Ensure that the group operates in accordance with its objectives, values, and legal requirements.
* Support the group's leadership team in managing and delivering scouting activities.
* Oversee the group's financial health, ensuring it remains sustainable and well-resourced.
* Provide guidance and support to the Scout Leaders and volunteers.
* Act as an ambassador for the group within the local community.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven leadership skills with experience of managing teams or organizations (previous experience in a charitable or volunteer setting is a plus).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to make strategic decisions and work collaboratively with a team.
* A passion for youth development and community engagement.
* Prior experience as a Trustee is desirable but not essential; full training and support will be provided.
