Job Description
We’re looking for a commercially driven and highly organised Merchandiser to join our fast-paced team here at Beauty Bay. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic trading focused environment, has strong analytical skills, and understands how to optimise online performance through trading, merchandising, and customer-led decision making.
As Merchandiser you won’t just manage stock, you will play a key role in helping to drive sales, improve conversion, and delivering a best-in-class shopping experience across our digital channels. Working closely with Trading, Buying, Marketing, and Operations you will ensure the right products are visible at the right time to maximise commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Buying, Marketing, Trading & Operaitons Teams to implement a clear position in the market.
* Manage and optimise product merchandising across the website and app - maximising sales & reduce terminal stock
* Monitor daily trading performance, sales, conversion, AOV, and key KPIs
* React quickly to trading opportunities, stock levels, and customer trends
* Create and maintain category pages, product sorting, and on-site campaigns
* Collaborate and Support promotional activity, launches, seasonal campaigns, and trading events
* Analyse customer behaviour and performance using analytics tools
* Work closely with Buying and Marketing teams to align product focus and campaigns
* Identify opportunities to improve conversion
* Ensure product availability, visibility, and accurate online presentation
* Produce regular trading reports with actionable insights and recommendations
* Support stock management and sell-through performance across categories
* Continuously review competitor activity and market trends
Out ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in an eCommerce merchandising or online retail role within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or similar high-growth retail
* Solid commercial awareness with a data-driven mindset
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume, long lead time, retail environment
* Excellent analytical and reporting skills
* Highly organised with great attention to detail
* Confident prioritising workload and reacting quickly to changing business needs
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience using eCommerce platforms, Google Analytics, Excel, and merchandising tools
* Passion for online retail and delivering a great customer experience
* Knowledge of working with short term focused trading calendar and seasonal / trend led promotional planning would also be useful
