Learning Experience Designer - HC, FinOps GAR
Amazon FinOps GAR Academy seeks a Learning Experience Designer/curriculum developer to craft, implement, and oversee effective training and communication strategies for healthcare finance support teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning and assisting others, self-driven with strong ownership, possesses good business acumen, excellent communication, and planning skills. They thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance speed with quality. The role involves end-to-end delivery of L&D solutions, collaborating with SMEs, channel leads, product, engineering, and stakeholders to develop impactful content and manage communications for various launches and improvements. Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design strategies focused on performance outcomes, innovation, and agility are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Advocate for learners’ needs, continuously improving content offerings.
2. Lead projects through all design phases, from scoping to launch, with clear timelines and stakeholder communication.
3. Create storyboards for prototypes and perform self-reviews to ensure process adherence.
4. Develop engaging learning activities and content, working with SMEs to identify training needs.
5. Set instructional goals and develop matching content.
6. Design exercises, activities, and supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games).
7. Devise assessment methods to evaluate course effectiveness.
8. Develop measurement strategies to demonstrate business impact.
9. Communicate effectively through visual, oral, and written presentations to business leaders.
10. Design inclusive learning experiences considering cultural differences.
11. Manage and administer LMS systems.
12. Collaborate across departments to develop relevant curricula.
13. Create training materials addressing healthcare compliance, financial operations, and healthcare processes like billing, claims, and revenue cycle management.
14. Develop content that simplifies complex healthcare terminology and procedures for financial teams.
15. Create scenario-based learning integrating financial and healthcare use cases.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
* 8+ years in Instructional Design or curriculum development.
* Ability to manage projects with tight deadlines and ambiguity.
* Experience conducting training needs analysis and using data to measure impact.
* Proficiency with online training software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate) and multimedia tools like Vyond.
* Full proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Experience or willingness to learn healthcare industry requirements and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced degrees in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or Learning Technology.
* Experience developing training for applications and tools.
* Experience working with cross-functional global teams.
* Knowledge of web-based learning platforms, gamification, multimedia, and social learning.
* Experience in program management, process improvement, or operations within financial or healthcare environments.
* Adept at stakeholder management and expectation setting.
* Familiarity with Amazon’s brand and shopping experience.
* Experience in healthcare training, especially in billing, coding, or administration.
* Knowledge of healthcare standards, regulations, and LMS tools.
Additional Qualifications:
* 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Payable experience.
* Experience using data to influence business decisions.
* 2+ years participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
