Learning Support & Care Assistant – Physical Needs (Secondary School)Location: Penarth, Vale of GlamorganStart Date: September 2026Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:15am – 15:45pmPay: £93 per day (negotiable depending on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan, supporting pupils aged 11–16 within a specialist Physical Needs Base.
This is a rewarding full-time role where you will play a vital part in enabling students with physical disabilities to access their education, build independence, and thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils with physical needs in navigating the school environment and attending lessons
* Assisting with classroom learning across a range of subjects
* Providing emotional support and encouragement to help students build confidence
* Working closely with teaching staff and specialists to deliver tailored support
* Promoting independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times
About the School:You will be working within a fantastic, newly renovated Physical Needs Base, equipped with excellent facilities designed to support learners with physical disabilities in a modern and inclusive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* A patient, proactive, and passionate individual who enjoys working with teenagers
* Experience as a support worker, physiotherapy assistant, or in a similar role is highly desirable
* A willingness to undertake relevant training, including manual handling
* Strong communication skills and a supportive, team-oriented approach
* A genuine commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
