We are looking for a experienced Senior Social Worker to step up into a management position within our Patenting Assessment Centre based on the outskirts of Malvern, Worcestershire.
You will manage a small caseload of around 5 families allowing you the time to build relationships with both the families and colleagues within a supportive and stable team.
Duties
* Manage and coordinate the assessment process for children requiring assessment and support services.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of children and their families.
* Collaborate with various stakeholders, including educational institutions, healthcare providers, and community organisations, to facilitate effective referrals.
* Leading and managing a small team of social workers, each carrying a caseload focused on long term family support.
* Presenting clear and confident statements and court evidence when required.
* Maintain accurate records of assessments, referrals, and outcomes to ensure compliance with organisational standards.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of referral pathways and assessment processes, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
* Serve as a point of contact for families seeking assistance, providing guidance and support throughout the referral process.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a relevant setting is essential.
* Strong understanding of assessment frameworks and referral processes.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
* Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams or projects.
* Experience in specialist PAM's assessments and the application of psychodynamic frameworks.
* Experience in providing court evidence
