Your role
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of electrical and mechanical systems at customer sites. You’ll work closely with customers and colleagues to ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably, while delivering a consistently high standard of service.
This is a varied, hands‑on role that suits someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working independently, and building positive relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
* Working safely and in line with company policies and site rules
* Servicing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
* Communicating clearly with customers and contractors throughout service visits
* Participating in an on‑call rota with fellow engineers
* Providing technical support, training, and advice to customers
* Accurately documenting service activities
* Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and apprentices
* Delivering excellent customer service and building strong working relationships
* Ensuring work areas are left tidy and company vehicles are maintained to a high standard
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
* Full UK driving licence
* Background in compressed air, commercial service, or a similar engineering environment
* Strong attention to detail
* Practical problem‑solving skills
* Enthusiastic and proactive approach
* Organised with good time management
