Are you an experienced Property Asset Officer looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and forward-thinking local authority?
West Berkshire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Finance and Property Service as a Property Asset Officer.
As a Property Asset Officer, you will play a key role in the management and maintenance of the Council's property portfolio.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Undertaking property inspections, surveys, and valuations
* Managing lease agreements and property transactions
* Providing expert advice on property-related matters
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions
To excel in this role, you should have:
* Extensive knowledge and experience in property asset management
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* A professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential
This role is fixed term until 31st December 2025 – Funding limited project
