About The Role
Orbis Education and Care is a leading organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and adults with complex needs associated with autism.
Support Worker – Rosendale, Lydstep
Salary: £12.60 to £12.80 per hour, Location allowance: £1,500 per annum.
Hours: Full time, 43.4 hours per week, with part time and night options available.
Location: Rosendale, Lydstep – a calm, supportive and homely living environment for up to six adults aged 18+. The main house has four en-suite bedrooms, lounge, teaching area and kitchen/dining area, plus a 2‑bed self‑contained flat.
A day in the life
* Ensure physical and emotional needs are met through supportive and caring environment.
* Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
* Promote independence, self‑esteem, and confidence, celebrating achievements and milestones.
* Work together to tailor support to individual needs.
* Keep accurate records of activities, progress and incidents when they arise.
* General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.

* Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
* A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
Must have an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
