Location
We have two positions available in our new structure – one in the North and one in the South. The role requires traveling to stores across your region and staying connected to our Support Centre in Coleshill, Birmingham.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or a Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment
* Full UK Driving Licence
Responsibilities
* Lead on fire safety across stores – conduct and review Fire Risk Assessments.
* Visit retail sites to identify risks, capture insights, and propose actionable improvements.
* Support stores in maintaining high safety standards – from fire safety controls to everyday health and safety practices.
* Translate legislation and guidance into clear, workable steps for store teams.
* Build confidence and understanding across teams, turning safety into a part of daily work rather than a tick‑box exercise.
* Spot, escalate, and follow through on risks, ensuring actions are completed to the right standard.
* Conduct post‑incident reviews to identify root causes and strengthen prevention.
* Partner with Store Managers, Area Managers and Maintenance teams, becoming a trusted, practical voice.
Skills and Behaviours
* Experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments
* Strong understanding of UK Fire Safety legislation and its practical application.
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
* Ability to produce clear, structured reports using Word and Excel.
* Strong organisation, attention to detail, and clear, confident communication.
* Comfortable working across multiple sites, including travel and some overnight stays.
* Desirable: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (or working towards), experience in a multi‑site or retail environment.
