A leading workspace design and fit out specialist is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop its health and safety function. Delivering high quality commercial interior projects across office, education, and retail environments.
The Role
As Health & Safety Manager, you will take ownership of all health and safety operations across the business, ensuring compliance with legislation and embedding a proactive, safety-first culture throughout project teams and supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
* Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and all relevant HSE legislation.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
* Lead accident and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions.
* Provide practical H&S guidance to project managers, site managers, and subcontractors.
* Deliver toolbox talks and health and safety training across the business.
* Monitor performance metrics and report to senior leadership.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within construction, fit-out, or refurbishment.
* NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6, or equivalent qualification.
* Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction safety standards.
* Experience managing safety in live commercial environments.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Proactive, organised, and solutions-driven approach.
