As an Infrastructure and Development Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking team, you will design, build, and maintain robust AI/ML infrastructure. You will leverage AWS, Terraform, and Python to create secure and scalable environments for model deployment. Collaborating with internal teams, you will contribute to a culture of innovation and ensure our solutions align with the firm’s technology strategy. Your work will help promote operational efficiency and support our commitment to excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
* Design, engineer, and implement AI/ML infrastructure solutions using AWS, Terraform, and Python
* Ensure scalability, security, and operational efficiency in all infrastructure projects
* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize performance
* Automate provisioning and management processes to enhance stability and reduce manual tasks
* Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate architectural designs and technical credentials
* Align solutions with existing systems and cloud architecture
* Contribute to a team culture that values opportunity and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expanding applied experience.
* Proficiency with AWS technologies, including EKS, S3, Database, and Lambda
* Hands‑on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation
* Competence in Python programming
* Strong problem‑solving abilities
* Willingness to learn new technologies and processes
* Experience in infrastructure engineering, implementation, testing, and operational stability
* Familiarity with continuous delivery methods and infrastructure lifecycle management
* Proficiency in infrastructure applications and technical processes within cloud computing and automation
* Understanding of AI/ML model purposes and functions
* Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with business stakeholders
* Knowledge of financial services industry IT systems
* Degree‑level education
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Experience supporting AI/ML model deployments in production environments
* Advanced knowledge of cloud security best practices
* Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools
* Experience working in large, matrixed organizations
* Exposure to regulatory requirements in financial services
* Strong documentation and technical writing skills
* Ability to mentor and support junior engineers
