SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in the Wigan area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support pupils with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting preferred)
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable but not essential
