At Mace we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about cost and commercial management. Our Birmingham region is looking to recruit an Assistant Cost Consultant to help deliver on several existing and future commissions in our local government sector.
You’ll Be Responsible For
* Assisting with feasibility studies, procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
* Assisting with estimating and cost planning activities.
* Providing support with final accounts.
* Supporting handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
* Acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
* Acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
You’ll Need To Have
* Proven experience in construction cost consultancy.
* Track record with public sector projects preferred.
* Strong skills in cost planning, contracts, and valuations.
* Degree in quantity surveying / cost management.
* Professional membership (e.g. MRICS/RICS) not essential.
