Customer Team Member (18+) SPAR Ross on Wye

We have an exciting opportunity for a SPAR Customer Team Member. As a Customer Team Member at SPAR Ross on Wye, you will support our store management team and create a positive customer experience. Your tasks will include maximising sales and profit by performing assigned duties to contribute to the store's continuous improvement, ensuring excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
* Greeting customers warmly.
* Answering inquiries and assisting customers in finding products.
* Processing purchases efficiently and accurately at the tills.
* Upselling products and highlighting offers to maximise sales.
Store Operations:
* Managing stock: checking deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, rotating stock for freshness.
* Completing tasks like date checking, stock and gap checks, price updates, promotional displays.
* Following all company policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
* Experience in a similar role preferred.
* Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
* Understanding of retail legislative responsibilities.
* Ability to contribute ideas for customer service and business growth.
* Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is a plus.
* Enthusiastic team player and independent worker.
* Cash handling experience is advantageous but not essential.
