Cycle Hire Supervisor - Morpeth Summary INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY In this role you’ll help everyone who visits enjoy our cycle trails, sharing your enthusiasm for cycling to provide a high-quality service. With every conversation you have, you’ll find ways to help people get the most from their visit and build a great all-round outdoors experience. Salary: 12.75 an hour Duration: Seasonal role until 7 November 2026 Hours: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts. Shifts will be at weekends and during school holidays. What it's like to work here As Cycle Hire Supervisor, you'll run the day to day cycle hire operation at Wallington. Your responsibilities include hiring out bikes and equipment while delivering exceptional service, as well as maintaining and repairing the cycle fleet to a high standard. You'll support staff and volunteers and work closely with wider property teams. The role also involves ensuring safe working practices and managing risks outdoors. In addition, you will help promote cycling experiences, share key messages with visitors, and encourage more people to enjoy the outdoors. You'll manage cash handling procedures and contribute to meeting income and participation targets. Overall, you will play a key role in creating brilliant cycling experiences that inspire visitors and support the National Trust’s conservation work. What you'll be doing As part of the Active Outdoors team you’ll help visitors enjoy the estate through high quality cycling experiences. You’ll work alongside friendly colleagues and volunteers in a busy, visitor focused environment where no two days are the same. You’ll champion great service, support our conservation purpose, and help ensure our cycling offer is welcoming, accessible and safe for everyone.
